Slideshow Advertising, Is It A More Effective Tool Than PPC?

PPC or pay per click advertising was introduced by Google.  According to Wikipedia, “it is a form of internet advertising used to direct traffic to websites, where advertisers pay the hosting service when the ad is clicked.”  However, it has been observed lately, that it is on a serious decline and with all the PPC we see on web pages, it starts to appear as spam and make most websites look dirty.

PPC concept is great and we all know that the most relevant advertisements are advertisements that focus on what you are looking for.  With PPC, the ads that are advertised are those pertinent to your searches.

Initially, PPC was quite amazing, and it did produce the promised returns.  However, as PPC grew and more people are also integrating it into their websites, the sites started to look very messy.  As more websites are integrating PPC, the more it became less effective.  People started getting bored with it visually.

Its effectiveness is on the decline, that PPC advertisers have to struggle against paying dishonest hosting services.  These hosting services realize that they are no longer getting traffic, unscrupulously start clicking on their PPC, to get some money.

With these things happening, new internet strategies have to be looked into for internet advertising.  One of these strategies is slideshow advertising.  .

There are some new websites developed that are trying to offer something very original and potentially great.  These new websites allow people, stores and companies to advertise through slideshows with information of their product or store on the relevant category.

The slideshow works by frequency.  You can upload and choose the frequency at which you would want your banner to come up, either per day, once a day or after every hour.  This enables you to get their money worth.  It eliminates the problem you would face if the website was using normal slideshow transitions where the banners were coming one after the other.  That would have favored the person who uploaded first.

Slideshow advertising can be used on a much greater extent than PPC.  Even if your company does not have a website, you can advertise with slideshows, as you can upload banners with your information, phone number and email and that’s enough to get you more traffic.  With slideshow advertising, you can also post events, meetings and other different materials which would not be applicable to PPC.

More interactive and eye catching to viewers than PPC, slideshow advertising can effectively serve as catalogs of information.  People can come up and check up the new material without needing to scroll as the slideshows just go on their own.  With slideshows, browsing can be a lot of fun.  All these advantages mean that slideshow advertising is better than PPC and may be the future of internet advertising.
